How did Daemon come upon this name?

The name was given to him, though he did not disclose who named David to him. If I have to guess, Baela saw a dream before she was killed.

Mother, I worry for you. Baela made the accusation, but you've rallied the votes. You are likely to be next.

Enquire after this with him. We will need as much detail as we can muster for any accusation.

If the pattern repeats, we now have the chance to send three to the dungeons and one to the grave, should Daemon swing his sword wisely. That will narrow who might harm me considerably.

If Daemon means to swing for David, I'll needs make sure he isn't interrupted. He will not hesitate to clear his own path; it won't do us any good to have unneeded deaths vaulting justice into blind vengeance.

We've proved true in the first round. We will prevail again, now that we more of the roles. Healers, Witches, Seers. Do we have an account of all who have been revealed?

None will like justice to be taken outwith the game. It would be wise to distance ourselves from Daemon, if he acts rashly.

Still, David could very well have slain Rhaenyra and targeted Alina, but so could Danny Johnson, if he indeed killed Embry. Embry and Alina’s attacks were similarly…brutal. And we know that we seek a tall man with a mask of pink, red or orange, which could point to either man.

Healers/doctors - Paul Atreides, Bella Baxter, Hawkins Fuller, Shanks.
Necromancers/dreamers - Baela, Matt Jamison.
Witches - Alina Starkov, Pierce Strickland.

There are other roles, however. Homelander and I have both been given duties to perform.

Johnson has my colour. Red. Thus far we've suffered no casualties, and outside of Johnson being named, near all have passed the round clear of doubt.

One of our number is likely a wolf, then. Not the wolf we know; Sansa Stark wear red for the game, as well. Of the witches, Strickland stands by House Targaryen, though I would have preferred he brought Baela back than Rhaenyra, if only to stay Daemon's hand long enough that we can move him to aim his sword where he should.

Homelander has spoken to you of his role? In private?

I follow your logic and agree. Perhaps it is wise to assume every colour holds at least one wolf.
What makes you sure of this Strickland? Would he revive Lady Baela next if we entreated him to?

I spoke with Alina before this round of attacks, and she agreed to return Jacaerys to us, if I might wield that blood debt to shield Alia from Daemon’s vengeful retribution.

She will use her abilities to revive Paul, if she is not targeted again. Would you guard her this night? I do not want for knights and allies, but she will feel alone in this world and stand vulnerable, besides.

Yes, we met before the final hours of the vote.

Homelander’s role entailed a choice at the beginning of the game. He kept its consequences far from our family.

Mine own seems to bear out each vote, when my word will count twice, or I might cast two votes separately.

Thus my half-sister and nephew are returned, but my cousin taken.

[ all important and powerful roles, these. that his mother finds herself in a position of great power is not a surprise to him, at least. ]

I would have gone to her regardless, to Alina. We have an accord to some extent, and I intend to keep my promise to her.

Daemon is more useful like this, with his fury acting as deterrent against those who might raise arms against us.

Pierce is exposed. I won't ask it of him, to raise Baela from the dead. Were I a wolf I would target him now, and the other teams will want his abilities for their own number. With how he values his privacy and agency, it will not end well for anyone who tries.

Perhaps it's time that Homelander keep quarters with you for the meanwhile.

Perhaps there is a logical appeal to be made, then. The more specialised roles that live, the less likely Strickland will be targeted himself. Indeed, with a necromancer like Baela, the more likely we are to end the killings and game entirely.

Homelander and I have agreed we need not ally ourselves publicly, for the moment, when my sway is now as well known as his power.

Lestat will be protection enough. He is the lone vampire to vote and did so only at my request, though I am certain the others will involve themselves after the accusations of last round.

In seeking to disperse our factions our enemies have instead united us to a common cause. Either this was their plan and a wolf hides among our numbers, pretending as allies, or we are surrounded by amateurs and idiots.

If we discover more of the roles, and if it holds true that each player cannot occupy more than one role for the duration of the game, then it will narrow the pool down to just victims and murderers. Fewer heads to count, but greater risk for wolves hiding among the sheep.

And of course — liars, who will seek to aim our gazes elsewhere with misdirection.

How do you feel about hostages, Mother?

I was not unmoved by Alina’s accusations against Louis, but he defended himself well. We must assemble what evidence we can against our strongest candidates, first.

What purpose would a hostage serve in this game?

We must be more careful in our movements now, as well. We have shown our might as a House united. Likely we will see attempts to sow discord among us, or disturb the tenuous balance we've struck with Rhaenyra and her side.

[ he sees it, how their unity can be seen strictly as the result of inconvenience. with rhaenyra and jacaerys returned, there is little for the rest of them to keep the peace further. he does not think his half-sister capable of any gratitude or sense, even here. ]

We are most of us separated into different colours, are we not? The purpose of the game is to survive with as many left alive to your colour, regardless of the existing alliances between players. Each colour as stands now has at least one Targaryen; I stand for red, Rhaenyra for blue, Daenerys for green, you for blush, Daemon and Jacaerys for orange.

If we can guarantee someone safety in exchange for their petition to keep our family from being targeted, it would ensure at least one survivor for their colour along with another. With our numbers, we guarantee an advantage no matter what colour prevails in the later rounds, but only if we all stay alive.

Let them sow it. None can deny that we stood alongside Baela and Daemon in pursuit of justice for all. And Rhaenyra will not forget that my bargaining returned her son to this world. I would not, if she had given you back to me.

It is indeed to our advantage that we are divided across the colours. Yet we must be careful not to guarantee anyone's safety, Aemond, only that our votes might not be used against them. All are vulnerable to the wolves, whether we will it or no.

We ought each treat with our colours, regardless. If any seek to win the game, your red and my blush will be targeted next.

As stands among the ranks, ours have the stronger muster. Red remains intact our roster, and as for yours — only two thus far have been accused and no other, correct?

It may be worth considering that there is a wolf in each colour, and with Alia having been caught, there remains at least four others.

Then we must learn what we can of our teams before the next vote.
